The Programme
The Actilangue programme combines practical French Language learning with interesting social and cultural activities and excursions.
At all levels, emphasis is placed on the practical use of spoken and written French.
The language is learned in realistic situations, reinforced by appropriate background information on the French way of life.
Organization of the Courses
Course N° 1
Choosing this course you have an ideal combination of learning and vacationing. The morning course offers a complete programme of instruction: reading, writing, listening and speaking. Study of grammar and discussions.
Course N° 2
Same programme as the course No 1 + one lesson each day for training in oral French.
Course N° 3
INTENSIVE COURSE : 30 lessons per week, 6 lessons daily from 8.45 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. and from 2.00 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Same programme as the course No 1 + two lessons each day for training in oral French.
General and Intensive Courses
Courses begin any Monday.
Course from 2 week to 24 weeks and additional weeks possible.
Class size mornings : 6 to 12 students. Class size afternoons : 4 to 8 students.
JUNIOR PROGRAMME (16-20 years of age)
Easter/Summer course, 20 lessons per week, 4 lessons daily from 8.45 a.m. to 12.00 p.m.. The special programme also includes the following activities during 4 afternoons and one Saturday and on one Sunday: visit of the old city and the castle in Nice, visit of Antibes and the “Picasso Museum”, excursion to Monaco and Monte-Carlo, Excursion to Eze Village – Diving – Stand up Paddle boarding or Sea Kayaking.
Combination Courses
Courses begin any Monday.
Course No 1, 20 lessons per week, 4 lessons daily from 8.45 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. + 1 or 2 lessons private tuition daily. Total of 25 or 30 lessons per week.
Private Courses
Courses begin any Monday.
The most effective way to learn a language. 1 student-1 teacher, 4, 5, 6, 8 or 10 lessons daily. No prior knowledge of French required.
Almost beginners
A1/A2 - Elementary level/Upper elementary level
B1/B2 - Intermediate level/Upper intermediate level
C1/C2 - Advanced level/Upper advanced level

The course fees include
Grading test, instruction according to the type of course (one lesson = 45 minutes), teaching aid, certificate of attendance as well as sports and excursions (Junior Program).
Students
16 years and over (no age limit) are accepted. The student body is primarily European (over 12 nationalities). Participants come from a variety of backgrounds – students (undergraduate and graduate), business people, teachers and professors, physicians and attorneys, senior citizens, and tourists, etc.
Knowledge of the French Language
Absolute beginners can be accepted only for Private Courses (one-to-one tuition).
Holidays
No lessons on Easter Monday, May Day (1 May), Ascension Day, Bastille Day (14 July), Assumption (15 August), All Saints Day (1 November), Armistice Day (11 November).
Certificate of attendance
The certificate states which course you followed and how long you studied. Students, parents, or employers can obtain a signed report on attendance, work, and progress on application to the Principal.
The school is closed
From December 14, 2024 to January 5, 2025 and from December 13, 2025 to January 4, 2026. The office is open all year round.
